Default What part is this?

I searched the internet for info but came up empty. I can't see the part number to research because its plugged in and I'm afraid to unplug it. Its not my tip/bank sensor is it?

As long as you plug it back into the same position, there's no reason not to unplug it and check the part number.

The reason I'm asking is because it has Lojack and I believe its draining my battery. In Florida its been raining every day so my bikes been sitting without being started. If it sits more than a week the battery is weak. Is it possible that the Lojack box is behind the faring?

One thing that I would do (or you may have already done this) is thake the part number and type it into google. Sometimes that works, sometimes it don't, but be sure and type it in correctly, with the hyphens and all. See what comes up.

Thanks looked online and they look basically the same. I'm curious about the warning label though. Seems a bit extreme. Apparently not the Lojack box then either.

What’s the part number on the item in your picture?

It appears to be the LoJack/security system box, purely from the looks of it.

As someone mentioned - grab the complete part number and google-it.

If it is in fact the security module, the only reason I could imagine it draining your battery is if is is getting triggered somehow?

Put a new battery in the key fob and see if that alleviates it, keep looking for potential battery drainers (how old is the battery - anything beyond 4 years and I would suspect the battery), or plug it into a battery tender every night.

Post whatever you find out. Here’s hoping you figure it out.
