Default As I gracefully bow out.........

Well, I've finally had it with all of the issues that I've had over the last 1-1/2 years with 2 different '17 RK M8's. First one transferred tranny fluid so bad, MoCo attempted 5 different fixes before replacing the entire bike, which I came out way ahead on so I wasn't angry. Then the second bike had the transfer as well, just not as bad, but was drinking more than a Qt. of motor oil 1000 miles, pinging and tinging like a bitch, and the valve train sounded like a Singer Sewing Machine with no oil. Been bouncing between trading up to a '19 SG, (hoping that it was issue free), or trading down to a '15-'16 SG if one would have popped up at one of my favorite dealers and I could make a trade. Well, a '14 SGS Rushmore loaded to the hilt came in with 4600 miles on it and previously owned by a meticulous kinda guy that had 100% of the work done at my main dealer where I had gotten both of the '17 RK's from. We sat down today and I rode off on my new to me rock solid, dependable, pristine FLHXS! I'll miss the Stage IV power-plant on the '17, but as soon as I throw a cam and dyno on this one, I'll be cool. I'll still peek in here on the M8 Forum to see how $tones "Fix" is doing, and I imagine I'll end up with another M8 someday after they work out all the bugs.......... TTFN.

Sorry to see you go, but you’ll be back. Hope you enjoy the new ride. I guess now that you have a dependable bike I can count on seeing you at Street Vibrations?

Your most likely correct about being back $tone...... 2020........ 2021?

Yes sir we'll be there! Riding up to Sacto Friday to see the grand-kid then up to Reno Saturday morning to play. Gonna head back to Sacto that evening to kiss the grand-kid one more time before heading back down here on Sunday. At least we don't have to spend time installing your "Fix" and can have a cold one instead!

Man your experience so sucks! Only about 7K miles on mine but no issues other than clutch switch. 4th Harley and this is the first that I’ve pulled the derby occasionally to check levels tho lol. Nice looking ride ya got there!

Upgrading to a Rushmore sounds like the best alternative after all the BS you've been through with the M8. If it's as good as my '15, you have many trouble-free miles of riding ahead of you.

Beautiful bike. Congrats!

Sucks that you had to go through this, but it looks like you came out alright with a beautiful clean new ride.
Don’t be a stranger and stop by here when you can. Enjoy.
