Default Up an inch, back two, on 2018 FLFBS 1.25" bars

Anyone put risers on their 18-19 Fat Boy yet? All of the Harley risers appear to move the bars too far in both directions. Looking for something less.

I’m a T-bar fan. Been on my last three bikes. May look a bit odd on the FB, but they feel so good riding....

8” rise Wild1 WO501 bars. Everything fit, but I opted for a 6” extension for the right switch pack. The cruise equipped left pack had plenty of length.

I’m 6’3” and these and the tallboy seat are perfect.

Looking for much less than that, and probably through a riser switch. Thanks though!

I don’t think ive seen risers that have more pullback then rise. Not sure how that would be done... You may need different bars to achieve. However an easy attempt would have been riser extensions. They go under the existing risers and use longer boots into the risers. Problem is the Fat Boy risers use studs and nuts vs bolts, so to try you’d need to see if the studs could be removed. Also remember going up will also move you back due to the angle of the fork. Good luck.

So maybe just getting a taller riser would give me the movement back I'm after? How far back do you think I'd get out of each inch up? That's too bad about the non-convential way the Fat Boy risers are put together.

Also, do you know how the measurement of a riser is taken? Is it from the base to the bottom of the saddle? Or the top of the bars as they sit in the saddle?

Got out my shop manual. There is a spacer on each stud (which does look to be removeable), in between an upper and lower bushing. There is about a half inch of stud below the nut on each riser. I'm going to call the dealer and see if they can come up with a longer stud and/or a longer spacer. Even going up another 3/8" by lengthening the spacer would give me a bit more pull back. I'm very close now and that would seem like an inexpensive experiment.

If you can get those studs out, all you need is some grade 5 or 8 bolts and some riser extensions... Like these:

Make sure of the diameter of the risers first though. Oh and I'd get rid of the squishy stock HD bushings and get a pair of the polyurethane ones since you'll be in there. The ones HD sells now are repackaged Alloy Art Gooden'tight's. The best.

I spoke with the parts guy at my dealership. He said Grade 8 bolts. The spacers might be the way to go given that the only offering HD has would put the grips back to far (I think). They estimate 5" closer on the night train. Parts guy estimated 4" closer. I think that would be too close also.

On those spacers, the picture is actually upside down right? The recessed end would go over the bushing, in place of the stock cup washer? I may have to call LAChoppers to make sure. Also need to ask what the id of them is.

They also have
2" spacers 2" spacers
which would probably work better for me, and strangely they're cheaper, $35.

These These
might actually work too. Not the bolts or nuts, just the spacers. I read a review on the others and it said that the indented end did not fit over the stock risers or the cup washers. These have no indent so they might work, with correct bolts.

Interesting, since the HD poly bushings come with grade 5 bolts. I think we’re talking thousands of PSI’s. So the way I look at it, if I’m applying that much force on the bolts, I’ve got bigger problems...

Found a new set of these for a very good price. They are the 4-1/2" set the moco sells. I'm going to give them a try.

You sure those fit? I don't have my bars anymore to measure, but I think the Fat Boy bars are 1.5" diameter without any step-down for the clamping area. The risers need to match. I'd grab a caliper and measure to make sure.
