How low can I go?
Bike 2002 Road King. I am going to have to replace front and rear suspension soon and am wondering just how low I can go before tires start rubbing on fenders etc.
Currently the front is stock the back has the Low Profile rear suspension kit which lowers the rear by 3/4".
'
I am under the impression the stock rear shocks are 13", I may be incorrect in this, so the low profile shocks take it to 12.25".
'
I have not seen any aftermarket shocks that duplicate the low profile. All I see is 13", 12", 11" etc etc.
'
I would like to go a bit lower due to being vertically challenged. Will 12" shocks fit the bill w/o tire rubbing on fender? And would lower front end cause problems with getting a lift under the bike? Currently I have to elevate the front wheel slightly to get my Harbor Freight jack to slide under the bike.
'
My boots have lifts and over sized heels to be able to get my feet on the ground so I need something that compensates for my 27" inseam.
'
Thanks in advance for any comments you may have

Stock shocks on my 2001 FLHR are 12" so if 11" are available I would not hesitate to use them. The front is 16". I have never heard of anyone going smaller but if you can find the rim size I can't imagine it not working. Best of luck and I truly hope you can find something that helps you out short of getting say a Slim or maybe Street Bob.

Have you thought about reworking the seat?
You can most likely gain more that way than with the suspension and you will not sacrifice ride/handling.
Plus when you are done (if done right) you will be able to ride all day without have a sore @$$.

I am using the stock seat. It has 250,000 miles on it. You ain't gonna compress it any more than it is already. I also have a Mustang 2 up seat for when the wife decides to ride along. It puts me 2-3 inches closer to God then the ground. I actually prefer it. I do ride all day on it with no problems.

Boots have 1" higher heels and inside lifts. I feel like I am pitched forward when I am walking down the street.
