I really dont like spoke wheels with tubes, especially on the back. I tend to pick up punctures and like having a plug kit avail.

Are there other HD 16X3 rear mag wheels that wheel fit our bikes without too much modifications? I really dont want to spend a lot for the hd machete ones since its only gonna be in the back and you cant see too much. I would run a used solid wheel if it fit without too many problems.

I also can't stand the spoke wheels on my Heritage for the same reason, plus I hate cleaning spokes! The HD Machete wheels are the only one's I've found that didn't cost more than my first car! If they came in black instead of chrome I probably would have already bought them.

 

They do come in Black, Harley calls it Black Ice part number 43300370

Thanks.. Those don't show up on the HD website but I found a front wheel on eBay but no rear. I found these a few months ago but could never find both.

 

I think Sportster 48 mags will fit if you flip the rear and use a spacer.

Hey guys, 2018 114 heritage here. Felt the same way you all did. I was able to find one Machete in black chrome but H-D don't make them in black chrome anymore. So I buy the other one in chrome and dupli color makes Shadow chrome black-out coating. It worked perfect and was able to match H-D black chrome. I only have rear wheel on now but will post some pics when I get booth wheels on. you can get the Shadow kit [ tint and clear coat ] at Advance auto.

 

Most likely any wheel from the new softail series with the same axle width and diameter should fit. It will probably take a cooperative parts guy cross checking spacer part numbers to verify the fit. Then shop the bay for take off wheels.

 

Not any wheel from the softail series will fit. the 240 tire size wheels come to mind. If you buy the Machete wheels for the new Heritage make sure you get the right bearing and spacer kit from the H-D parts book.
