Good question. Over on the M8 touring side they take about a few issues(a couple series ones) but no word on the softail side about the same issues: ie fluid migration from transmision to the primary. There have also been issues with some owners of improperly fitted valve seats. HD has issued a TA(0022) about the fluid migration but there are reports it doesn't stop the issue.

I had a problem with the vapor valve on the fuel tank vent tube. Simple fix. No other issues in 3,300 miles except the same one Steve Sportster has.

At close to 5K the clutch was still grabing when starting in gear with lever pulled all the way in. At the 5K service they did an adjustment which helped the lurching when starting, but messed up the location of the friction zone in the lever. Back to service 3 times. Better now, but still not quite right, IMHO.

Just last weekend had the oil light come on and listed some codes. It was intermitent. Stopped at a dealer (not local) who said it was the oil presure sensor/switch and not an oil pressure problem. When I got it to my regular dealer service they found it was a loose connection at the sensor. Cleared the codes and all seems OK now. Good thing to check now and then...might have been knocked loose when cleaning the bike.

Almost everyone has a problem with a buzzing gas cap and condensation in the speedo.

Have not experienced any other problems and have not seen reports of any engine problems. Lots of owners have many more miles on theirs then the 6K I now have on mine.

Since I live in Florida, I don't even have the problem of having to winterize my bike and putting away for the winter. Any days over 40 degrees F and not raining, I can ride (yes - I'm a fair weather rider.) When and if the temps drop below 40, I only have to wait a few days and it will warm up again. The only salt on the roads is from the ocean. I do have to keep the salty mist off the bike with almost a daily wipe down with a detailer as it lives outside under a carport.

My 114 Softail Heritage is now one year old. Only 8,900 miles with the HD Torque Cam, everything else stock. Ride the heck out of. The only issues ever have been condensation in the speedo and rattling gas cap.

Uses no oil and no other oil issues, hits the bikes speed limiter regularly and hits the rev limiter of 6400 R's often.

12 months and 12,000 miles. Zero issues, not even the rattling gas cap. Had the stage 2 torque cam done early and it gets ridden very enthusiastically. Hasn’t used a drop of oil and it looks brand new when I change it.

4,500 miles. I broke the plastic locking mechanism on the saddle bags. Warranty replaced it.

That's all good to know...that is no major complaints like on the touring side. Condensation in the speedo? They should be able to figure that one out. I plan on purchasing one around the next april or may time frame. As far as price I plan on the base model 107 engine in black. I have no trade in and can pay cash or take their financing if it help the deal. In AZ we have about a 8.5% sales tax. I plan on offering 20 OTD with a bike the has an msrp of 19k. Does that sound about right or maybe I should offer 19k OTD?. Not sure. What did you pay for yours?. Thanks.

15k on mine, they replaced the speedo and the rattling gas cap. Otherwise no issues, but I hate the seat.
