Just a short hop up to Calgary Ab to pick up Bill's wife.
West Calgary Campground, the most expensive and worst campground of the trip. Both sites had major ant hills, they had back filled deep washouts with gravel.
July 10
Ran down 22 and across 3. At one point we were running down the middle of a canyon with a major thunder and lightning show behind the wall on one side, while the other side was black with a major storm. We were riding dry.
On 3a on our way to Kootenay Bay

By the way BC Ferry's gives bikes preferred treatment, as long as you are there by the time they load the next ferry you get on it even if it is fully booked.

We ran out to Tofino BC. The roads were good to Port Alberni, but the road surface was rough from there out to Tofino.
We took a float plane tour while in Tofino.

We ran down to Victoria to hit the end of the Trans Canada Hwy
Bill and Darlene are wearing their Mile 1 Harley Davidson shirts They made the trip east 3 years before.
We did the Hwy 14 loop at the south west of Vancouver Island. Again we ran into rough road with sand/gravel in some of the turns. We started probably later than we should have, but made it back out to the main hwy just before dark. No cell service and dead phone battery made it hard to tell if we were still on route.
We stayed at Cedar Grove RV Park and Campground. Would recommend it also Deez Bar and Grill, the food was good we ate there all 3 mornings we where on the island.
