Just got off the phone with a dealer out here on the west coast regarding a new Ultra Classic. He informed me Harley was going to discontinue the model after the new year. Anyone else hear about this news?

I was told by two different dealers they've already quit building the Ultra. They supposedly just built it for two months for the 2019 model year!

 

Yea my dealer mentioned it few months ago, going by the wayside just like the FLHT standard did about 10 years ago, not enough sales & probably less profit margin. Just about like all the US car companies are getting out of making cars, more profit in SUVs & trucks.

Anyhow . . . Yeah . . . Why not ?
They quit making the two best "Bang for the Buck" touring models years ago.
The Standard and the Classic.

 

He said, "maybe someone should tell Milwaukee" with a copy of the 2019 HD literature for the 2019 Ultra Classic.

 

That kind of coincides with what that dealer told me that there were only 15 or so units available in California.

 

I've thought for years many manufacturers were making too many trim levels.

 

If my Ultra dies, I'll rebuild it
