Default Run/Stop Switch

Happy Holidays to all. I have an issue which started this past Tuesday on my 11 FLHTC. I installed a FP3 Monday night and no issues. Road to work Tuesday morning and when I got in I was unable to turn it off using the RUN/stop switch; had to use the ignition switch. I have been doing this since. Checked the ignition fuse, and nothing was wrong. Cleaned the switch with contact cleaner with no luck. Next step replace the switches? Also spoke with V&H support and reloaded original map and that is not the issue. Any help appreciated. TIA. P

Your bike is trying to tell you something. Either it still wants to ride or its telling you your at the wrong job. If that's not it then I have nothing.

My 100% GUESS would be that FP3 is wired into a power source NOT switched off by the Run/Stop switch. Remove the FP3 and see what happens. That is about the only "shade tree" way to find out if the STOP side of your Run/Stop switch has failed.

The FP3 is plug & play or so I thought. Sounds like the switch.

btsom has good advice, unplug the FP3 and see if the switch works. if it doesn't check continuity through the switch.

When in doubt, remove the last thing you messed with.

Default Remove it

Im with RANGER73.....

If the symptom started after you installed the FP3, go back to start and remove it. Curious to see what you find. I have an FP3 and no issues on mine.
