Nice choice, by the way, where are you mounting the tweeters?

Default End of day one.

Ok pods out. I'm lost. Help. Unclear to me what part of the head unit connects to the line levelers plus most be a lot of these loom pieces I *could* cut away because I no longer will be using them to connect speakers, but NO! don't want to cut the wrong wire.

gonna call BT. Or maybe somebody here could help??

Default Tip

Oh, and btw.... only shot to get those hidden 7/16th bolts on the pods out is a very small quality ratcheting box wrench. MAJOR PITA

NO cutting!

Line leveler plugs into speaker wire/connector coming from head unit. You will then run speaker wire from amp to speakers.

Yup. When you took the pods out you disconnected the molex connector that runs from the head unit to the speakers. The line leveler will plug into those from the head unit and you will use rca's to the input to the amp. Before you do that, get those tweeters put in the grills and put the grills in before you tackle the brackets. It will be hard to put the tweeters and grills in after the brackets are installed. Then install the brackets and your woofers along with the crossovers. That focal will sit on top of the stock amp tray and 1/8 inch drill holes on the tray in each corner for the feet on the amp with #8 sheet metal screws will hold it in place. Wiring and tuning will be the last thing you do as with everything installed you can then run your wiring behind stock wiring and tuck them out of the way.

I've disconnected the speaker lines at the pod, there's a quick connect -- you say that these run direct to the line levelers?

OHHHH -- got it -- what a stupid I am........
