Default Stage II with Red Shift 468

2017 Road Glide Ultra
Zipper's Red Shift 468 cam, Arlen Ness Big Sucker A/C, Fullsac exhaust header, CVO mufflers with Fullsac 2" power cores, ThunderMax tuner. Immediately noticed crisp throttle response, lopey idle. I don't know what the torque is but it pulls hard down low. The exhaust is not loud but it barks under heavy throttle. The cam is working good with the ThunderMax!

Did you get your Tmax & base tune directly from Zippers?

I am local to Zippers and as soon as my warranty runs out, I am going to take mine there for a cam job and tune. The 468 is a good all purpose touring cam for sure.

I bought the Tmax from Cycle Solutions, they had the best price that I found. There are only about four base maps in the software with this cam so I used one that had the stock FL pipe with cat removed. After riding it for about 50 miles I could see where the Tmax was making fuel adjustments to the base map. I just finished this two weeks ago and it's been cold, so not a lot of riding yet. So far I am happy with the results.

You might want to get in touch with Zippers & see if they can give you a better base map, the Tmax adjusts the AFR , but can't change the timing charts. A better base map could chow some overall improvements, both in power & driveability. I have a Tmax also & there were very few maps for the M8 since it is so new, I haven't talked to them yet since I'm not running their cam, but they are the experts.

The TMax software only has 5 maps available for the 468 cam. Three of those are with a stock header. The M8 has been out for over two years and their map selection is small. I did send in a map request about 10 days ago and their response was to ride it and keep logging miles then at some point after a 2-3 tanks of fuel send a collection so the help desk can see how much the system is learning based on the conditions. The TMax has a tab in the software called TMax-AutoSupport that will collect support data and send it to Zippers for evaluation. So I will heed their advice and see how it goes.

Sounds like a good plan, mine got better with more time & learning, I was only getting 37-39 MPG out of the box, it's up about 5-6 from learned fueling, but I'm thinking that it may be leaving some on the table as far as the timing is concerned. There aren't many tuners that will actually tune with the Tmax, but I've seen a few that have been tuned & gained about 4-5 HP TQ.

I'm almost 100% sold on this setup for my 19 Road Glide. I'm going with Fullsac for the header and get my stock mufflers re cored. I have only heard good things about the RS468 cam. I'll be using a Power Vision for the tune and get it dynoed soon after. Thanks for the info.

I'm running the same (RS468 and Tmax). I had mine installed at my dealer. They dial the TMax in on the dyno as part of the install.

I chose the RS468 after reading Steve Cole and Stonecolds tests.

I am really happy with this cam. IMO a significant difference from the 447 SE torque cam.
