Default January in the North East -- If it's not one thing it's another

It was cold here today but sunny and dry. I had a bunch of errands to run that would have been perfect for the bike on a cold day: 10 minute rides, nothing to carry that couldn't fit in the saddle bag. But this is what I found at the end of the driveway and on most of the area roads.

But the day was beautiful, though cold.

Yeah, kind of the same here. We've had a mild winter so far and I have done more riding during this January than ever, but that is changing. Forecast is for a possible 6" or so of snow tonight/tomorrow and they've already sprayed the brine solution on the roads. Long range forecasts are for colder than normal and stormier than normal thru February.

Bike is parked until we get a good rain to wash the roads off.

and this is why I have my 13 Limited at the house in Florida..... I get my riding in down there on the weekends I fly down so I don't have to take the NH bikes out and get them covered with salt and crap.

Besides there are too many MASSHOLES who wander into southern NH who don't look for bikes in the summer, forget about them looking for us in the winter

I am in FMB next weekend (thurs to monday) and back a couple of weeks after that to go to Cape Coral Bike Night....

Yeah they coat the roads in Indiana with that bullshit, every time they say it might snow.

Yep, did this by me 2-3 days ago in anticipation of this weekends snow. The sad part is everywhere I looked it says <1". So sad but I still ride. Just wipe down the bike a little more often. I'd rather ride then let it sit in the garage.

I put mine away end of Oct. She sleeps until mid April.
Have no problem doing that, safer for me and the bike.
