Default HD lithium life battery

Had a HD service guy tell me that buying this new Harley lithium life battery would yield me close to stage 2 results because of the 20lb weight savings over my stock touring battery. I cant make this s#!t up, thought you guys might like a laugh and thought I would share.....now run out and grab this $300 battery!

Ha! Gosh, I guess you'd have a real rocket if you got this battery, aftermarket plug wires and plugs, and Bel-Ray oil.

If you take a 900 lb motorcycle that makes 80 hp, you have an 11.25 to 1 power ratio. Now, subtract 20lbs and you get an 11 to 1 power ratio. To get that 11 to 1 power ratio by adding hp and staying at 900 lbs, you would have to make 81.75 hp. So, in conclusion, by losing the 20 lbs you are in effect gaining 1.75 hp. I would hope to gain more than that with a stage 2, but that is all this service guy is claiming a stage2 nets. 1.75 hp

They are going to have to come up with bigger lies than that, to sell any amount of $300 batteries. My son had a lithium on His ultra.Lasted 3 years and was found dead when taking it off the battery tender. What would bother Me,is that lithium batteries work until they die. But,they die suddenly. They give You no advanced notice, like an AGM can.

I think he should print this and hand it to the dough ball that told him that just to rub his nose in his own stupidity

Are these batteries really 20lb lighter ? Has anyone weighed both types.
I can see stripped down Cruiser and Sporty projects using the newer type for lower weight but a Tourer not so much .
Peace
