Default 2019 114" sumping issue fixed?

I don't have many miles on mine yet but it's running great. I heard that the new fix on the 2019 models worked, did it? Do I need to worry about this possibly sumping one day? Mine was delivered from Harley to the dealer in December of 2018 so it's only a few months from the build date.

No, you most definitely should not spend time worrying...enjoy it..ignorance can be bliss at times...ride, enjoy, don't worry about something that hasn't happened or likely to..if it has a problem get it fixed..it really is that simple

I have a 2017 CVO with the 114. Just turned 13k miles in December. It's been in 9 states and twice to southern Florida. ZERO Issues to date.

As mentioned ride and enjoy!

Funny I have not heard of an actual fix. Have not even heard of the actual proven cause?

you are welcome to worry about anything you want.
But the percentages are against you sumping more likely to hit a deer
i have 23000 on 2017 114 been thru Utah at 100 mph and 116 degrees , San Diego from Chicago twice . best of luck please dont worry.

Yes, the fix on the 2019 114" is the revised oil pump and plate with seal...I have not seen any evidence of this motor sumping in the 2019 MY...

If I am not mistaken, the latest sumping bulletin M1450 that Harley produced specifically does not include the 2019s as being eligible for sumping. We have heard of a couple of 2019 CVOs that had been manufactured prior to the plate with seal being installed. I haven't seen any reports here of any with it having sumped.

Anything is possible, anything could happen, but it seems to me that the 2019s are the least likely to sump of any M8 models yet. We certainly haven't had many (if any?) reports here of 2019s sumping, have we?

And so it begins... what is an oil pump vs a plate/seal... whose has and whose hasn’t... do they all or don’t they...

My 2019 114” only has 3500 miles on it but it’s been great! Stage II!
