My 2015 FLHTK Ultra Limited I Just Purchased.

The lights on the tour-pak are not working.
I'm looking for what each wire in the #69200131 wire harness does.
I have a Blue/Redish Maroon wire, Blue/Purpleish, Blue/Brown ?, Blue and Black.

Black is Ground, what are the other ones. I want to test each and see if I have power coming to each one

 

Nothing working on tourpak? No running lights, turn signals? You have either blown a fuse,. (highly unlikely) or your tourpak connector came loose under the seat.

 

There are led's on the back of the saddlebags and they work properly.

The lower running lights that run along the side of the tourpak work.
The lights that run along the back of the tourpak are not working.

What does the connection under the seat look like.?, I haven't had the seat off.
If it may be a fuse, where is it located?

 

The fuses are under the left side cover. Can't remember what the plug for tourpak looks like but when you take seat off it will be easy to see the wires leading back to tourpak. The connector will pretty much be in the open. Personally I would take the carpeted liner inside the tourpak out first and look around in there for a unplugged connector. You have to take the 2 nuts off inside the owners manual pouch to get that carpeted liner out. That's it. nothing else needs to be removed.

Look at the rear lighting schematic, I wonder if connector 287 is unplugged? I bet it's behind the liner.

Hmm, Never ran into that problem. Sounds light the problem lies in the lightbar itself.

Not sure where your measuring voltage at.

Look at the rear lighting schematic and separate 287B from the Tour-PAK. wires are marked A-E.

Check B to ground for continuity.

All voltage measurements should be taken on 287B with the ignition on.

A- Put meter positive on A the BE/BN and Negative will stay in B the black which is grd. Turn on right turn signal and see if you get a pulsating 12V .

C - BE is the running lights and should show 12V

D - BE/V is rear left turn so check for pulsating 12V when left turn is on

E = BE/R is the brake light, 12v when you hit the brakes
