Default Flat spot

I keep getting flat spots all the way around the center of my rear tire. Is this common? I dont remember this happening before. The tires got 700 miles on it .I ride everyday but when it rains.

For starters are you over inflated and how hard are your downshifts? Make of tires would help out, throw in the year, model of your bike.

How much of a flat strip down the center we talking? On 700 miles you should see a wear pattern but still good tread. Any chance you can throw a picture of the tire and what you're talking about up?

Last year my sons bike was riding very funny like the rear tire had flat spots . And after I road it to work to trouble shoot the problem for a week . I found out it was a broken lower motor mount . We replaced it and the thump thump thump from the rear wheel was gone .
