Default 2004 FXDX Upper Shock Acorn Nut Size

Need help with the thread/size of the upper shock acorn nut on a 2004 FXDX. I know it takes a 3/4 socket to get it off, but what’s the thread? Thank you.

On my 2000 FXDX they're 1/2" 20. But I recently ordered rear shock hardware from AlloyBoltz (who are usually spot-on with everything), and they sent 1/2" 13. I'm not sure whether that implies that some years may have used a coarse thread, or whether they simply packaged the wrong acorns. Calling them next week...

This thread has been of more interest than I expected... I'm the second owner of my 2000 FXDX, and it has the original shocks on the back. The microfiche definitely shows the acorn as being part #7554, which has a 1/2" 13 thread (as Rene mentioned). I see no indication that my shocks have ever been off (but of course they could've been), but the studs/acorns are definitely 1/2" 20:

Can anyone tell me whether these studs look like OEM part #54627-00?

That’s what mine look like. I wonder if the DX/DXT had different shock mounting hardware than standard Dyna. I’ve got both sizes on order so we’ll see haha.

Interesting. Both of our bikes (and most pre-'06 Dynas) should use part #7554, according to the parts drawings... I've found a few different references showing 1/2" 13 for 7554, which obviously isn't what's on my bike. Either the part number isn't right for our bikes in the microfiche, or the thread reference is wrong (or mine are aftermarket).

Curious what yours are... I'm guess they're the same as mine.
