You’re going to bring the wrath of the forum down upon yourself, starting what is commonly known as an “oil thread”.
Everyone has, often vehement, opinions on oil.
I personally use Red Line v-twin synthetic, just from tradition, because that’s the brand I’ve been using in all motors for the past 30 years. However I am also under the strong opinion that any good quality full synthetic is all the protection a motor needs, In fact, regularly changed standard oil is really all a motor needs, but I like the piece of mind the additional high temperature tolerance and protection full synthetic provides.
And Syn3 is also perfectly fine...
Also, you didn’t mention what bike you are talking about, but if a touring, I’d recommend the fan assist oil cooler. It’s additional (relatively) cheap protection esp. in your hot environment.

what Mchad said about the fan assist oil cooler..I think it's one of the most valuable accessories they ever offered for an air cooled engine considering it can lower the engine oil by up to 50 degrees as stated anyway...any proper 20W50 is good for your engine and change at appropriate intervals
found this interesting from Fueling
https://www.feulingparts.com/product...p?product=3087
TECH TIP: Feuling highly recommends staying off the rev limiter and running conventional oil in the M8 engines to help maintain ring seal and minimize blow by.
I personally haven't ran synthetics for my own reasons but this is sure to illicit some 'passionate' responses
