Default 14 sg with abs front wheel question

I'm changing out my tires. took the wheels off the bike had new bearing/tires installed and got the wheels back. put the front wheel on tightened up the axle to 70 ft lbs put the right side caliper on no problem. went to put the left one one and the caliper is hitting the center hub of the brake rotor. loosen up the axle nut and everything rolls fine. question. is between the wss and fork is there a small shim that goes in there? What did I miss when I took it apart. I got the grooves on the outside of the right spacer. bearings seem installed properly. help a brother get back on two wheels please.

Just took a look a mine and I do have a spacer on the left side between the abs sensor and fork. I'm guessing it's about a 1/4 of an inch.

I think I figured it out. I have the rim on. backwards possibly. I looked at the tread to where the center would flow the water out on the American elites but looking at the direction arrow mine go backwards. I'll try flipping it around tomorrow. my wss does have a 1/4 spacer built right into it. tread just dont look right to me but I'll flip it tomorrow and post up what I found.

The wheel can only go on one way, the ABS bearing is slightly wider than the non ABS bearing. The ABS bearing should be on the left side of the wheel, therefore if you put it on backwards that would shift the wheel to the left just a bit and cause you problems I think.

This will work assuming that whoever mounted the tire on the wheel put it on the right way.

A non ABS wheel it would make no difference and people make mistakes so it's possible they mounted it backwards.

I had a buddy that went through this last year, they installed new bearings and had put an ABS bearing in by mistake or on the wrong side or something like that.

Anyway they burnt up a couple sets of rotors before they finally figured out what the hell was going on.

that's what led me to think I got it on backwards. not sure how to tell the difference in the bearing tho. but it's for sure shifted over to the left side. After work today I'll be flipping it around. thank you to you all who posted the assistance.
