Your going to open up a can of worms with any lubrication thread. Everyone has their own opinion and experience.

HD Formula+ is adequate, and best for this application.

I think it's too heavy and viscous for Primary use. I tried it once and didn't like it.
I wouldn't be afraid to try Spectro's product.

I use spectro products but I could not find neutral with their primary oil (09 heritage) I even had a little trouble with formula one from Harley. What works for me is Rotella T4 in the primary. Neutral is very easy with that. I believe it's a little thinner than Formula 1 and spectro primary. I do use their 6-speed gear oil in the transmission and it's smooth as silk and they're 20-50 synthetic for the motor.

I used spectro products on my Husqvarna's when I used to dirt ride/race. The bike shop carried Golden Spectro oils, so that's what I used!
Today, no more dirt bikes, but I use Amsoil. Let the flames begin!! xx

We used Golden Spectro in our Huskies too back in the 70s and 80s. I still use Bel Ray fork oil.

I used it in my Shovelhead when I sealed the primary and I use it in my Evo Heritage. Works fine for me.
