Default Exhaust Pipe Sitting on Oil Dipstick.

Put a custom exhaust on my 2004 wide glide. Problem is the rear cylinder exhaust pipe is sitting directly on the oil dipstick. It is sitting on top of it. Would have to remove to check or add oil which would be a pain. However, the bigger question to me is heat transfer. I know the cap is metal but I worry about possible melting plastic dip stick or I ring. I thought about wrapping that part under shield. Any thoughts on this and my paranoia. Any help is appreciated.

Is it a custom exhaust or an aftermarket exhaust? If it's custom, your "builder" screwed you over. If it's an aftermarket, you screwed yourself.

Either get an exhaust that fits or make yours more "custom".
Being able to check your oil (which should be done a regular basis) without removing the exhaust pipe would be more of a concern than melting the dipstick.

A ball-peen is a good clearance maker.
