Default Rear Suspension Height - 2008 FXDB

I am currently running Burly Brand slammer shocks but am now looking to raise the bike high. I've seen only one set of 15" rear shocks but I was wondering what the tallest ones available are. Also, would I have to get some kind of kit to raise the front as well? How much of a raise would I need/ want for the front if the rear is 15"?

I can understand wanting to go with taller shocks in the rear. Did it on my bike. But why do you think you need to raise it 3" over stock?

Have to extend your fork tubes +2 to get it to ride right or else your trail will be off.

I definitely will, is the front end typically an inch shorter than the back?

Personally I wouldn't go any taller than ~14" out back and 2" over in front. it's a good stance and handles plenty well. Anything above that seems unnecessary to me.

You also run into other problems like belt tensioning beyond 14.25" in the rear. You can put in the Wide Glide 2.5" longer tubes and your bike will be a High Rider!
