Default Best Amp for clarity and loudness

I have a Kenwood Marine KMRD772BT head unit and Polk MM1 6.5" Ultra Marine speakers. The head unit puts out 5V per pre-out. The speakers handle 140W RMS and 300W max. I will be adding Polk MM1 6x9 in the lids in the near future. So I am looking for a 4 channel D-Class amp. I was looking at SoundStream, Diamond, and Hertz. Prices increase in order of those names. I grew up knowing SoundStream as a great brand, but my buddy has Diamond and says to buy that. I call a shop that does installs and they say Hertz. I'm not looking to go broke, but seriously. What is the best amp? I'm going nuts. Been looking in this forum, google, youtube. everyone is saying different things. My issue is I have 3 kids, so I can't buy an amp, see if I like it, sell it and buy a different one, until I find 1 I like. I need power because my exhaust is loud. Like Really loud. So does anyone have any recommendations?

A lot of people like the SoundDigital 800.4D (make sure it is the D model unless you can set the crossovers from your head unit) and you can also look at the MMats MD4110. Good clean power out of both of those.

Ohh yeah and the Stinger SPX700X4 gets a ton of praise around here too.

Overall best amp I'd say is the JL Audio.Expensive but hard to beat.

"S" model is new version with adjustable crossover and flush controls.

As far as amp quality quite a few out there to choose from. Each will serve their own purpose for use and budget. What exactly you plan to run off it and location helps dictate best options. For what you are running I wouldn't spend a lot on a amp without having lot more speaker. With that said the stinger 4 channel or even the Vega b54 would suffice for your setup.

My issue is that everyone I talk to is telling me a different amp. I have no intensions of adding more speakers. So 4 total speakers. 4 Polk MM1 Ultra Marine speakers. 6.5s are 140watt RMS, 300watt peak. 6x9s are 150RMS, 350watt peak. They ate all 4 omh speakers. So I want to do a 4 channel amp. 1 channel per speaker. Just needs to be loud and clear. Exhaust is loud and I ride at 80-90mph with a skid lid.
I have been bouncing back and forth between Soundstream, Diamond, and Hertz. Now I'm hearing more options. My head is spinning.

Buy the Soundstream pn1000d and call it good for now. You'll be back for more later.

What is this? Crack? Is there an amp that will power these speakers better?

Its sort of kinda like crack, but you don't smoke it. You get a little bit and won't more. Get some, and want more.

Stick with Sly's suggestion. Not the "Best" amp, but it is more then able to do the job

I think you'll be very happy with the Soundstream. And at 120 bucks, its hard to beat for best bang for the buck.
