Default Battery Tender Connector

On my 2014 Street Glide Special, I noticed there is a pig tail under the left side cover to use as a Battery Tender. I was wondering has anyone thought of a way to use it without removing the saddlebags or side cover. Any tricks of the trade that I am missing to use this? Just trying to get any ideas what everyone is doing? I do have an extra pig tail from the HD tender I bought. I know it maybe a lame question but it is a Forum.

Thanks
Christopher

i have one on my 2008 that i run down the side of the of the front of my side cover there is a little frame rail there with other wires zip tied to it so i added my battery tender pigtail to it, so it can be easily hooked up every time the bike is in the garage.

I took the pigtail out from behind the side cover and leave it between the side cover and saddlebag. Easy access.

Run pigtail out the rear of side cover, under the passenger grab strap and secure by running the pigtail cover around the passenger strap.

Just pull it out into the place you want it. I have had it wire tie on my bikes to right side frame near heat deflector, out top to lay between saddle bag and seat, and I now have it wire tied to bottom of left side crash bar.

Don't know if your bike was used or new when you got it,but if it has a owners manual its always good to read it and some of your questions will be covered.

Route it through the slot at the bottom of the electrical caddy. I have mine secured to the saddlebag support, easy access.
