Default New 2019 CVO

Saw a new 2019 CVO on the lift at the dealer today getting the primary vent installed. Mine goes in tomorrow.

Default Primary

I asked the dealer if the exhaust port of the vent, vented over the belt? He showed me that it does not, as some have claimed.

Mine was installed yesterday. It does hang right over the drive belt.

Yeah, from my point of view, on my FLTRU, the hose vent is positioned right above the belt, or very close to it, close enough that anything coming out of the hose will probably get on the belt. However, after 1k miles with the vent installed, there is nothing coming out of the hose. And even if a drop did come out, very doubtful it would actually cause a problem.

The hose should only be sucking air and because it’s installed in a small cavity away from splashing oil I’m thinking there should be no worry of anything coming out.

Did you guy's just ask for the vent to be installed or did something have to be documented before they would install the vent.

I told them the tranny was low at the 1k service. Then it was low again at 5k. Now it’s low again at 6800 so I called and asked about getting the vent and they said bring it in. I’m not sure if they actually documented it or if the just want to grease the squeaky wheel (me). Either one works for me lol

If you know it’s low make sure you tell them. I never added any because I didn’t want to overfill the primary and I wanted them to see it. I checked it with a zip tie and it was always just below the dipstick.
