New member with new scooter
Hey y’all, thanks for having me. Been riding all my life, from desert/motocross growing up in So Cal, to commuting daily in L.A. to being a very senior citizen with his first Harley (now). Had major cervical spine surgery September 2018 and finally bought a Harley as a present to myself. Found a cherry ‘09 XL883 Custom, with very low miles for chump change and decided I couldn’t pass it up regardless if it was to be my ride (more of a Fatboy guy). Turns out I love the sporty. Can’t get enough. 31 degrees on the day I brought it home in December and I didn’t feel it. I love being able to jump on it for a run to the parts store or whatever without all the “gear prep” you go thru on a bigger bike. Nimble with plenty of power for short rides, I wouldn’t want to take on a three hour stint with it. (Too old).
