Default Best route from Florida to Sturgis 2020

Hello everyone, first my apology if this question has been answered. I tried searching "Sturgis routes" but of course with all of us living all over the country I did not find a specific route from Florida to Sturgis. Please help if you have any good suggestions. There will for 4 or maybe 6 of us heading out mid-July next year. Trying to avoid major highways/Interstates. Don't mind back roads or State highways as we'll need rest stops, motels and restaurants along the way, We're figuring 6-7 days out there plus a full week in and around the area to see everything all of you mention in numerous posts. A different route back to Florida with a similar length of time. Its about 1800 miles one-way so we believe we can easily do 300 miles/day and not get beat up too bad plus avoid bad weather and stay put should we have a problem. Please chime in and give your thoughts on general route and major roads to take (or avoid...). Thanks in advance for all your help.

Thanks,
MV

1/3 North. 2/3 West. And a GPS near the end.. If you run into Canada, turn left....

On a Harley, you are never lost. Have fun... Wish I had the ***** to do that....

From S MS I make my way to Little Rock, Joplin, KC, I-29 and I-90. After you head north off I-40 into the mountains, it cools down a little. Just book it to SD.

Not much to see except fields and fence posts. JMO

We use to do Memphis and St Louis. I avoid that route now. Last year I hit backroads at Omaha to Valentine, NE. Backroads into the Badlands.

We're leaving on the 27th from Gainesville. Taking 75 to Tifton and then NW on 82 until Birmingham then 22 to Memphis. Day two from Memphis to Kansas City. Day three to Sioux Falls. Day four into Sturgis. That may seem about a day too long but it's 2 SUVs and an F-250 with a 6 bike trailer.

I'm coming from NC. My plan is to ride the highway to Nashville. Then run the highway to St louis and pick up RT 50 and enjoy a slower pace until I get to Kansas city. Then i'll ride up and catch RT2 across Nebraska to Alliance for hopefully a nice ride the rest of the way.

Then on the way home Its ***** to the wall. Super slab the whole way. Gotta get back to work and home to a women whos hopefully still there when I get back
