H-D's Livewire Press Release
Yep, H-D is getting ready to release the Livewire electric motorbike to the public. With a claimed 0-60 mph time of 3 seconds this could very well be the hardest accelerating stock bike in the H-D stable. Read the press release here courtesy of CycleNews:

Neighbor brought one home. Went over to admire it. He kept saying how fast it was.
Told him I'd race him.
"With what?"
"My old Silverado."
"That old POS? I'll smoke you with this thing."
"Fine", I told him. "Name your stakes."
"I'm serious", he said. "I don't want to take your money. This is stupid."
"You're not going to take anything. Now what are we racing for?"
"Fine", he said. "How 'bout a dollar?"
"Bet!", I told him. "Starting line is the stop sign at the end of the block."
"Where's the finish line?", he asked.
"The parking lot at Mile High Stadium", I replied.
He paid me off on the spot.

Take this for it is worth. Someone in a bar who works for Harley, said the limited production is already sold out.
For the distance I travel, I have no interest in an electric car. But you are a fool if you don't realize electric vehicles and the technology is progressing.
I got nothing against someone on an electric bike. Two wheels, just different fossil fuel.

With gas powered vehicles interiors being sound proofed better and better and the operators wearing earbuds, whose going to hear an electric motorcycle passing the gas powered vehicle. Sight impaired people are stepping off curbs because they can't hear the EV's. I wish the Livewire owners good luck.
