Clutch adjustment for dudes (and gals) with small hands?
Ok guys, SOME of you may have been cursed with small hands like I have, but most probably aren't. Is there any way to adjust the clutch lever so it sits closer to the grip? I mean, beyond mere standard clutch adjustment at the two jam nuts along the cable? Is there maybe a lever that exists that can allow for the same amount of travel but is designed to be closer to the grip? I can't be the only dude that's been in need of something like this. It's not so bad around town, but man, on the 50+ mi trips the left hand can get sore because I need to reach for that clutch handle so much.
Hope that makes sense...

On my 07 Street Bob I installed an Oberon clutch lever not so much for reach but also due to arthritis. It resolved both of those issues and also made the clutch pull easier. It looks that the pull was made easier by it's construction, which increased the leverage. Very high quality. It was so nice I got one for the brake lever.

I have a PSR Journey adjustable brake lever. It matches the OEM clutch lever pretty well and works for my arthritic right hand. They're pretty spendy, though; about $150 each, https://psr-usa.com/v-twins/levers.html

Loosen the jam nuts and put an additional 1/2 to a full turn of slack in the cable. I would start with half. I like the friction zone to begin about 1/3 of the way out with it fully engaged about halfway out. There is plenty of cable travel such that this may solve your issue without having to install aftermarket parts. You're not the only one who is picky about this. I adjust mine all the time until it's exactly where I want it. Don't be afraid to put a little more slack in the cable. It'll still fully release the clutch when you pull it in all the way. The factory adjustment is just a starting point. There is no harm in deviating slightly for comfort. It won't hurt a thing.
