We used to get a minute or two to correct spelling and grammar errors before seeing “your post was edited” message.

NOW it’s immediate.
Why the change?

scammers are replying with contact info to lure folks via the email reply notification and then are ninja editing that part out nearly immediately. this allows us to spot that and protect the community better.

Scammers are a devious bunch.

Guess we all have to just deal with the issues they cause.

i hate them, but there is a small piece of me that genuinely appreciates their tenacity, creativity and innovation.

I can understand doing that if every new post is moderated the second it’s posted, but if they aren’t (which I find it hard to believe they are), how does putting a time limit on editing a post, so it immediately shows it was edited, protecting the community? Protecting them from what? Themselves?
