This is a silly question, but oh well. This is the first bike I have owned that I will taking longer trips on. I didnt keep my last Ultra long enough to do so. Anyway, I want to bring my second FOB with me when I travel out of town in case I lose or have issues with the one on my key ring. When I do so and lock it in the tour pack, is it best to just take the battery out of it and store it with the battery? I would be leaving it in the tour pack while walking around (not overnight) and I dont want the security system to be disarmed when I am not next to the bike.
Record your PIN and the instructions on the procedure to start your cycle with the PIN......put it in your wallet and a picture on your phone.
I also made an entry on my cell phones contact list. Person's name I put Harley, phone number I put my pin. I don't carry my spare fob, but I do carry a spare battery.
