Question Want to do DIY automation on lids for saddlebag

Hi there,

Anybody have some info for me regarding automating the lids of the saddlebags for a bagger. I have noticed that Gator boxes comes automated and that they probably use linear actuators to do this. Wanted to know if anybody has these installed and if so if somebody could give me some info on the stroke length of actuators?????

Hmmmm...let's see now...OP was a one and done, what? Seven years ago? Regarding mechanizing saddle bag lids, of all things. Really?

It's the answer to an answer never asked. Wait til Kingglide549 drives up. You're gonna be in a lotta trouble, mister!

Just a Newbie mistake, after the hamming he will get on here I doubt it will happen again. In addition, my bags open automatically with my garage door opener.

Using the search feature this came up. I'm no newbie to forum etiquette, thank you very much. I'm sure you'd like me now to start a new thread just to ask the same damn question. Oh, but then I bet your smartass would jump on just to tell me to search. How about you go find someone else to try and make you feel relevant because I'm not your guy for that.

You were an *** to me here before for no reason. I had to put you in your place then also. Don't want to help, fine. No one is forcing you to. Seems all you like to do is harass anyone newer to the forum. That's how this forum loses members is because of guys like you. That's a shame. Get a life.
