Smile Height and forward controls

Hi. I am 6,3", 195 pounds and I have ordered a set of forward controls as I feel a little crampy with mids especially when I stop and I have to further lift my leg in order to step down. (I ordered Custom Chrome - 225$ - hope I didnt waist it)

What is your height and experience with your forwards?

Leonidas

I'm 5'7", and I'm installing forwards right now. I think forwards are much more comfortable than mids.

I'm 6'4 and have forwards....on the bike they look like mids when I sit on it...lol....I got a kit to extend them even more from a member here.....I am itching to put them on still.....I will definitely make a thread here when I install them with pics.....just too cold in the garage to work!....ryan

I'm 5'8" and am using forwards. I simply like the more relaxed position for my old bones.

I'm 6' and I have forwards and a set of take off mids in a box. I like my forwards because they don't interfere with me when I stop or get off, catch a lace or pant leg or whatever. When I take off I can keep my feet down as long as I like then place them and shift.

I rented a '12 Sportster with mids last year. I felt cramped, like I was sitting in a chair for elementary aged kids. I'm 5'10 and 220 lbs.

68.5" with 31" inseam. My stock forwards on my 72 fit perfect. Having not ridden in 8 years and coming off streetbikes (mids) I feel a little unbalanced cornering, but the more I ride I know it will come back to me.. My longest ride is 3.5~4 hours and felt great during and after. I have had multiple knee surgeries and could not imagine riding with my knees bent anymore.

Im 5'10" and cant fit my legs on mids because my seat is so low. When I had them on I had to often use my hands to pull my legs high enough. will never change back to mids.
