Default The Everything Breakout Thread

Ok, let's make this thread the place to post about anything having to do with the Softail Breakout. Maybe you just bolted on a sweet new part and you want to show it off? Can't find the part your looking for? Need a little advice on what looks best on a Breakout?

This can be the place we discuss it. I'll post a pic just to get the thread going.

Perfect idea. So we will have everything in one place. Maybe someone can make a post collecting all the thread URLs we had so far for the Breakout? At least the ones that are still visited frequently...

I got a good one. Here are the part numbers needed to put the Blackline dash on the Breakout.
71576-08A (2 of these)
71340-11
72775-11
60900001

I just added the breakout tag to this thread. Go down to the bottom and click on the word "breakout". That will link you to any others than have had the same. If you see a thread you want to find later, edit the tags on that thread and add in "breakout".

Default Risers- DYI

I made some 1.75" risers from aluminum. You can build your own using 1.75" stock.... a little elbow grease... and the payoff... a more comfortable riding position....

Here is the link to my thread...

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...love-them.html

1.75" is the MAX I recommend due to cable/wiring lengths...

Default Christmas Present for my man

So we purchased a 2014 Breakout. Before bringing home we added slip stream accessories, PC'd some stuff, added pipes and air cleaner, changed the console, new levers. Better pictures to come soon.

Great job! That's exactly what I thought of. Good idea to cluster by topic. Here's the one to the main Breakout pictures thread.

MyBigBlue, that Breakout is looking nice. Did the dealer do all the work before you took delivery?

Dammit! I am about to retire from active duty and have put my modding on hold. But then I see these two lowered breakouts and the shotgun gets back in my head!! What to do, what to do??

We took delivery and brought it back for the pipes/air cleaner/tuner. While it was there, the weather went south so had them PC and I ordered a bunch of goodies for them to throw on. So this is how she sits for now.
