Oh no..those are the kind of changes that I like the best on bikes, Makes it your own and a lot of people will not even notice and that makes it all the cooler. Nice job
Very true! Thanks for the kind words.

You can just replace that fuel pump top plate with one that fits if you don't want to fabricate a bracket also.

True, but the plate that you don't see was basically free from scrap I had in my garage, I bet the HD plate would be $100! Lol

Thanks for all the kind words gents. It is pretty subtle but I do like it.

His old school cat eye dash looked great to me so I decided to follow suit. He gave me great instructions and the parts list.

It's an easy job, only tricky part is you have to make a little plate to mount the retaining bolt lower.

Here are some before and after pics, and a pic of the little plate I made.

Before

Little plate necessary

Finished product.

I'm not sure it's the best bang for the buck mod, as its a pretty esoteric change, but it adds a nice old school look to the springer in my opinion.
Thanks for the info. The photo of the bracket was of great help. I put one on my 2013 Deluxe.

Richie, your bike looks great, I think you made a nice addition there.

Glad my picture helped! That's why I do these threads, hoping to help a fellow rider. Always great when someone gets some use from them.

This is the whole bike. The cats eye finished the look I was going for.
