Default oil change - shotgunners

so how do YOU drop your shotgun shocks to change oil? I had to get a second jack for the rear wheel. any other genius methods?

You mean the tranny fluid? Doesn't need to be dropped for the engine oil change. For the tranny, it would be just removing the two bolts up front, then the shock will swing downward and out of the way.

I also use another jack for the rear wheel. With my moto jack further towards the front of the bike so I have access to undo the front of the SS, another jack in the rear wheel helps stabilize the bike, just a regular floor jack.

And this is for the tranny. I don't use a jack at all to do oil.

Not on my bike it doesn't. It hits a small lip on the frame so the rear needs to be jacked up to allow clearance.

Hit your down air button, it will move the shock back.
