Arrow FLAT or WRINKLE black primary on BREAKOUT...

Anyone done their primary cover in FLAT or WRINKLE black on their Breakout. I've seen gloss, but am a little curious what the other options may look like. Thinking flat or wrinkle may match the bike a little bit better than the gloss. Please post pics of you can!

Wrinkle black all day long, but if you don't want that texture do a semi gloss. Gloss is too shiny and scratches easily because of the clear in the powder and flat is just too...flat.

Just my $0.02

I am a big fan of the wrinkle for various reasons. However, when I think of that finish on engine and tranny covers I find that it works better with some models than it does with other. To me, wrinkle has more of a rough, industrial no-BS look to it. The Breakout is a beautiful model but in a much different vein and to me, wrinkly black covers just wouldn't do it justice unless you gave the entire bike a makeover that suited the finish. Even satin black seems to be too understated for that model. If I owned a Breakout and wanted to go with something other than chrome I would chose gloss black. The Breakout is a tough looking bike but at the same time has an elegance to it that I think would be better suited by the shiny stuff. And this is coming from someone who prefers black and dull finishes!

If you do go with something satin, I would contrast it with a derby cover that with some chrome...or at least some sort of contrast cut. The primary cover is a pretty big piece of metal on these bikes and getting the wrong finish on that one item can throw the whole look off.

Best of luck with your decision.

I had a PC guy who hooked me up right.
I couldn't decide between gloss or wrinkle for my Denim Slim.
He told me to go with what he called the official "H-D Texture Black" which was a spot on match for the denim...

Here's a look...
