Default Just joined in, and purchased a new softail

hello
i just purchased a new 2015 SOFTAIL SLIM and getting delivery today.
super exciting cant wait til it arrives.

i already replaced, the front forks to black, and the transmission case and derby cover to also black.. grain black. it was ugly aluminum. not my style.
i heard lots of bad stories about the aluminum forks.. so i had to get them replaced.
also replaced the levers to black (not shown in this picture) and mirrors to black (not shown in this picture). all replacements were done at the dealer part of the deal. i will be listing the TAKE OFFs parts soon.. for sale.

wishlist: on my previous bike, i had the shortshots and they were super loud and gave me a headache on long rides. on this bike i love the nice rumble and the ride feels great. i demo'd lots of bikes...
so now i'm not planning to change my pipes but i'm thinking to just remove the heat shield covers and spray paint it with headers high temperature black paint.. has anyone tried that? .. it will give a nice accent.

Welcome form Kalifornia.

We had Short shots on our '06 Sporty and yes they are loud.
We have the Bassani Road Rage 2-1 on our '12 Heritage, we like them as they are not LOUD but just right when cruising and when on the throttle they have that deep rumble so the cagers can hear us.

Another thing to think of is the ride, the stock softail is the best riding Harley IMHO but it can be made better by the installation of the Shotgun Shock system, yep a SS cheerleader.
