Default quiet vs. reg baffles on vance and hines

OK, so I am getting slip on mufflers for my 14 Heritage. I have the slip ons from HD right now and they are too quiet. I had the v&h slipons on my other bike and they were a bit too loud. I am looking for something in between. Would the V&H quiet baffles do the trick?

Maybe a little, but don't expect a big difference.
I have the V&H BigShots with the quiet baffles and they're anything but quiet.
Maybe only a couple dB or so, but you get a deeper tone with the quiet baffles.
The fiberglass packing takes a little of the edge off, but little else volume-wise.
..and even then, the quiet baffles will get louder over time as the fiberglass deteriorates.
Here's mine - standard on the left, quiet on the right.

I agree with jam. I have both and the quiet baffles aint real quiet but takes the tinny sound out and deepens it up. I like the sound they give me.

had the quiet baffles and they helped a bit......but ended up making my own with more packing surface area and the inner tubing with more perforated holes to eat up some of the noise.....worked out pretty good ! very nice sound comparing to what it was before .

I have the Smartpartz Hard Kore Quiet Baffles. They do a fair job of toning my pipes down.

I put the quiet baffles in the V&H Straight SHots for my DeLuxe when I had it on and thought the sound was much better. It was deeper and not so hollow and tinny sounding. Did the same thing with quiet baffles in my Freedom Performance upsweeps and they sound much better as well.

if you want a deep mellow throaty sound check out some Rush.. had mine on our Heritage since the 1k service back in 07 and now with 52K on the bike I still really like them..

I always compare the Rush sounding like cars yrs ago that had Glass Packs (because the whole baffle is wrapped) on them - VS - V&H's pipes that sound more like a car with open Headers.

A friend has a Heritage with a Vance and Hines pro pipe. It has the quiet baffle, and although not painful loud, it is not quiet. I think it sounds very nice.
