What type of connector is this. There is a port on my bike that has female ports and they suply power when the bike is ON. I am looking to get a cable that this on one end and a USB on the other.

Deutsch connector.

That is a 12 volt power connection. USB connections are 5 volts. If you had a cord that went directly from 12 volt to USB you would most likely fry whatever you plugged into.

This product claims to be able to be used on all smart phones and tablets. It charges at 2.1 amps. Is there something I'm missing, would this product be safe?

What product are you talking about?

If you have a battery tender hook up for your bike same some time and money and use one of these.
It works with my Iphone 5,Kindle,Motorola Droid Turbo and all other usb devices I have tried.
