A little disappointed Fuel Moto would not cover the cost of the diagnostic port cable, This happened under the seat not near any heat sources, I leave the cable connected run it into my saddlebag on the horn side. I would not have thought enough power comes out of the diagnostic port to cause this, the only other thing I can think of is I pinned it tight on the battery leads with the seat. Thought the bike was going up in flames smoke everywhere.

Cut the ends and splice it back together. Should only be 4 wires.

You're joking right? Why would they cover the cost for your error. It sucks it happened but that's completely your fault and not theirs

C'mon man, that happened with my tmax cable. Shorted out on the frame and blew a fuse. I cut it and spliced the wires together. Fixed. I guess I should have called TMaxx and told them to replace it. Maybe I should have called the fuse company and told them to send me a new fuse too. Man am i stupid.

the guys at fuel moto are more then generous on returns/warranty but thats self inflicted and we all have done that type of **** in our lives...we live and learn on mistakes...this is all aftermarket parts problems that we all encounter from time to time....fix it or get a new one...maybe even use a fireproof sleeve over the harness...use it all the time on race bikes
