Default Fitting a Crash Bar/ engine guard with anti lock

I Found a NOS crash bar for my 2013 Slim with anti lock brakes.

It is not obvious how I will run the brake lines with the bar fitted.

The main problem is the brake line on the left Frame down tube side, from the bottom of the lower triple tree to the ABS HCU (Hydraulic control unit).

This line is too short to go behind (aft) of the crash bar, and I think it MIGHT fit on the forward side of the 'bar but I will have to pull the line and bleed the system just to try this routing.

Here is an image of part. For some reason the line in question does NOT have a #, but it is the continuation of line (part#13) after shoulder bolt (#6) in this drawing:

Has anyone fit a Crash Bar with Anti lock? Can you please take a photo of how you ran the lines?

Thanks, Steve

I ran both brake lines to the outside of the downtubes. They rotate to inside the downtube just below the crash bar. Fit with removing anything. This is on a dusty 2012 FLSTFB with ABS.

That is exactly how I installed mine. The directions tell you to position the brake line exactly as shown above.

Thanks guys, I truly appreciate the photos, VERY helpful.
My NOS Harley engine guard directions did NOT have anti lock brake line routing info since it was made before Harley invented anti lock brakes for Softails.

The line in question is almost tight, but acceptable.

I finally found these directions online after Gomee gave me the idea to look, the photos/ info from Daddy-O on this thread are even better!

Looks GREAT!

If you look up parts on HD's site, there are instructions in PDF format included on the More Info tab.

Exactly where you found them.

My brake line is stretched very tight, and it does concern me.

I thought about placing a thick washer between the hwy bar and frame
to push the hwy bar further forward, taking a little pressure of the brake
line.

In my first note this thread, I was wrong when I said I would have to disconnect the brake line in order to route this tight brake line forward of the bar.

The bar is not continuous! One could route the tight line in front or "forward" of the bar by passing the lower bolt attach point of the crash bar behind the tight line, then fitting the 3 bolts to mount the bar.

I did not try this, but is it a possible simple fix for you?

(My line is snug, I wish it was 1/4" longer).
