Being from the old school of the automotive industry and knowing you can run a Osais on a Vehicle vin number and get any and all dealer work ever done to one's car. I was wondering, does Harley Davidson have such a program for the vin nunbers that can be found at your local Harley Davidson Dealer or anywhere else on the internet?

 

Harley dealers have access to a complete history of anything Harley-dealer related. I took a used bike in for pre-purchase checkout, and got the service record and warranty record, the selling dealer and date, name and address of the original purchaser, and even the original loan amount and current status of the loan.

I paid for that information though, not saying they'd give it away for free. But they can access it with a vin number.

 

I went into the local dealer and asked for that information. He said they could only access any recall records and records for work that was done at their dealership. He never mentioned getting more info for a donation.

The dealer I took the used bike into for the inspection (which they charged for) didn't originally sell it (didn't even exist when the bike was originally sold), and had never serviced it. And they still came up with all that stuff. Maybe they weren't supposed to tell me....
