I appreciate the help. Do you remember what length pulley bolts were needed? Or where the stock ones long enough? Obviously replacing them with new bolts, just not sure on size yet.

Hey guys, in the middle of doing this upgrade right now. On an fxsb, the spacer width for rear pulley, listed in post 3? Does not work for me. Just a heads up. It says it needs a 1/8" spacer, which is what I got, but that still puts my belt 1/8" closer to the tire than factory. Which will not work at all if I do a 260 tire.
1/4" should fit and make everything same as factory. With the wider pulley I bought, it looks like a 3/8" would be fine too, however split the difference and 5/16 might be perfect.
It also looks like the belt has been running on the outside of the transmission pulley, so with the exception of the wiggle room from the slightly wider pulley, I don't have much room to put a wider spacer on, before I start getting misalignment problems

Where you feel it most is in the first three gears.
What you will notice is they have suddenly gotten much shorter LOL, that is if you enjoy drag starts. I found that for a while right after I did mine a couple years ago, I longed for a seventh gear just ti get the motor to settle down on a longer than 1/4 mile strtch. But in reality, 115mph is not a speed I can sustain that long a time riding in a metro like environment
Maybe if I lived in the mid west perhaps yes.
You will love how effortlessly you can over pass traffic while in fifth with out having to drop down to fourth cruisin at aroung 3700rpm
Enjoy!
Goin on four years since I did mine and still get exited about how much more fun thsn stock the bike is with the 30/70 turning my belt
