Go sidecar.....!!!!
Probably cheaper to get the sidecar, reverse gear, and easy steer triple trees than to take the hit on your FLSTC and buy a trike.
This is my plan, hopefully 15-20 years from now, when I want to keep riding but my legs complain about holding up and moving around the Ultra...

You and the wife would get a lot more enjoyment from a 455 HP Corvette, plus it will hold it's resale a lot better than a harley trike.

I also thought a trike would be ticket for me, until I test road
a new great looking HD Freewheeler.
Absolutely no way no how for me. I'm sure once I learned how to
properly ride a trike my attitude might change but for now,
I've been riding to long enjoying two wheels to give them up.
If you buy a trike that started out as a one like a HD trike
you have better chance getting proper service when needed
along your journeys or at home.
Do test ride one before you covert or buy new, JMO.
