Here's the most recent, yet still old pic of my '13 Slim. I really

thanks,

Looks nice... As for the protection of a passenger your pogo seat could become a trap in an emergency stop......

My 2004 FLSTC, purchased from a local dealer in late '15 with 9500 miles on the clock (an average of only 850 miles per year - dayum!). In spite of the low miles she'd been neglected a bunch, and abused some, but she cleaned up nicely and is now one of the happiest Harleys I've ever owned. I jettisoned all the original Heritage Classic crap, and have enjoyed many an evening rubbing, polishing and sanitizing. I've replaced most of the visible zinc fasteners with show-polished stainless, including engine, trans, etc. The chrome front end was my Christmas gift to her in '16. The chrome tins behind the headlight housing are for a Softail Deluxe. The meats are Metzeler ME880's. I relocated the coil assembly to the spot formerly occupied by the horn (which opens up a TON of space behind the rear cylinder). The factory Keihin was evicted to make room for a Mikuni HSR42 smoothbore, and I rerouted the head breathers to individual external filters. The mirrors are new; they emulate the shape of the gas tank, and the design of the tank logo - pretty cool, IMO. I've polished the brake rotor carriers (orbital buffer w/Mothers and Meguiars), and replaced some of the thumped-on-by-the-previous-owner chrome bits with new H-D stuff, such as the hub cap and fender struts. Totally destickered, including the downtubes. I swapped out the original headlight and spots for upgraded halogen units from H-D, modified the spots so they burn on low beam and high beam, and the rear turn signals now also function as brake and running lights. The Harley Badlander seat came used from eBay, and flows nicely with the lines of the bike. I bought a new Sundowner two-up seat (with no frikkin' metal studs!) from Harley for when my wife rides along, but most of my riding is lean, mean and solo. In spite of emergency back surgery a year-ish ago (and the subsequent downtime from rehab), the odo shows an additional 20k miles since I rescued this girl. I began riding in 1965, bought my first Harley in 1984, and have owned and ridden some pretty nice H-D's (seven in total) in the intervening years, but this little cutie - I call her "RCH" (red c*** hair...as in very fine...) - is probably my favorite of the bunch; timeless, iconic beauty, combined with an honest, elemental ride and vibe. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to HDF. The bike looks nice. Don't know if you recall but we've traded posts on ADV.

Still saving for exhaust and a tune, unfortunately life keeps depleting the accessories funds.
