V&H Big Shots Staggered - still too loud
I recently fitted a pair of BSS with the quiet baffles to my Slim... but for me it's still too loud.
I previously had the stock headers with 3" V&H slip ons and a 'cut-down' set of quiet baffles, which to me sounded kinda spot on... I just liked the look of the BSS
What are my options to quiet things down a touch?
I've read that BCT QQ baffles aren't necessarily quieter than the V&H quiet baffles...
Not convinced the the TTI 'lollipop' inserts will make things much quieter either (front what I've read)?
Any other options to try before I revert to the stock headers and 3" slip ons... and sell the BSS?

They're certainly very loud, but I guess it's the quality of the sound I'm not in love with too
It's tiring after a while.
I know that when you're riding you never hear what everyone else does, but I do prefer the quality of sound of the stock header/slip-ons setup I had
I just love the look of the BSS, so I'd like to try and make it work
I guess I want to know if anyone's had success with other baffles than the V&H quiet baffles - the stock baffles are virtually pointless, but I find the quiet baffles are still too loud... Or maybe just not the right tone?

The Thunder Torque Inserts do not reduce the volume much, but they deepen the tone. Deeper tones sound quieter to the human ears.
If you really like the look of the BSS, then the best tone/quietest you will get is with the quiet baffle, and the TTI's. Wrap the baffles as much as you can, and be prepared to re-wrap them as they burn off.
It will still not be as quiet as the stock slip-ons, but much deeper and mellower than it is now.
