I put on the Hard Krome pipes and they cover up the whole in theframe where the rear footpegs connect. I have gone around with Harley and they make nothing that will work. I have seen the old school looking pegs that Kuryakan makes that go into the base of the seat on the softails. Does anyone have these and is the rider comfortable with their legs lifted up like that. Thanks in Advance.
Kuryakan has an offset mount for the foot peg. I had to put them on my ST because my g/f legs are short. It raised the peg up 2 inches. One problem I had was the hole from the factory was too small and had to drill it out.
I have the Kuryakan under-seat mounts and some HD pegs on my Deluxe. They work really well - but my wife is 4' 6". She practically stood up on the bike with the standard pegs, but now can sit comfortably with her legs at about 90 degrees. I would think anyone over 5' would be pretty uncomfortable with the underseat mounts.
I hope you figure something out. Even on my Night Train I had issues with the exhaust and the rider pegs being too close for comfort. My wife ruined two set of boots and one set of pipes. [:@]
I ended up getting a spacer to move the peg out and away from the new exhaust pipes. There wasn't too many options.
Get us some pic's of before and after. I'll be interested in seeing how you make out.
