So we got the Samson flange set and was hoping to finish the install last night of my Samson 39" cholos on my Deluxe and the chrome on my heat shields and mufflers is full of spots where the chrome is marked with what looks like wrinkles, pock marks and spots where the chrome is like a little sharp point sticking up. I am SO disappointed.. I am going to contact the vendor I got them through this morning and hopefully get them replaced. The mufflers are also covered in a brownish gummy like substance on one end. I didn't try to get it off I just put them back in the plastic they came in. After reading some of the other threads about issues with customer service wish me luck..

 

Samsons QC and customer service have been getting trashed on this and another forum for a while now. Seems they have really gone downhill. I would return them and pick another brand. If you are like me you probably dont want what everyone else has on their MC ex: V/H, Rheinhart etc but if you research there are a bunch of smaller producers out there making good stuff.

 

My chrome started peeling the 2nd season I had them. Its hard to believe anyone even packed them in that condition and sent them to you. It blows my mind how anyone can screw up such a big company with what should be an excellent product.

 

Several HD parts guys told me to stay away from them several years ago and I'm sure glad I did, the customer service and quality of that product have really suffered. I hope you can get some satisfaction and or your money back.

 

How many negative Samson threads (or any company for that matter) do there have to be before people will learn from others mistakes and quit giving money to a company for sub par products?

 

I am in the market for a complete system with 39" fishtails but doesn't seem to be many choices out there other then Samson, Freedom Performance, or 4dxtreme. Not to hijack the thread but does anybody have some suggestions?

 

I have Bassani 36 inch fishtails and the quality is excellent. You would have to check their website to see if they are making 39's. Just installed S&S Power Tune Duels with the Bassani Fishtails and they have great tone.

 

36" is the longest that Bassani makes, I actually considered buying their header and installing 39" fishtails from another company but their website states only their slip-ons will work with their header.
