Default Back to Softail (FXST)

Well, after hitting the cycle. I have came back around to a softail. Been on a road king the last couple years, but have a toddler and now another lil one on the way, I figured I would free up some money and get something cheaper and something more fitted to the riding I get these days.

So, sold the RK last month and have been shopping around for the right priced Dyna or Softail. Finally had this one fall in my lap...

2004 FXST, 16,500 miles, negotiated him down to $5,600.. Not going to complain. Love the bike for the few days of riding I have had it. Always wanted a FXST, and its not disappointing. Probably wont do much to if for now as wife has officially taken over the budget in preparation for mini me number 2!

Congrats on everything.

Is that a clamp holding the front brake line to the handlebar? If yes, do you have any idea who makes it?

Cheers!

A fellow Artillerymen! I was an Artillery Surveyor for several years. Congrats on your new bike. I did basically the same thing, went from a Road Glide to a Softail Rocker.

It is a clamp holding the brake line. I will try to see if it has markings on it later. I cant remember where, but when I put apes on both my road glide and road king years ago, I ordered these as well. I want to say I got them on ebay

You have good taste then! But I expect that from a fellow Redleg. I do miss my Road Glide though. Have kicked myself hard ever since parting with it...

Just don't do what I did when I bought my FXST, put 10K in mods into it

Don't get me wrong, it looks great and runs like a beast but it can get addicting. Enjoy the ST, don't see as many around at rallies as the baggers these days.
